Patient Identification and MPI Management

Presenters at this MPI management and patient identification presentation will discuss the role of HIM in correctly mapping electronic health records and working to proactively maintain a clean and accurate system with a low duplicate error rate. Join the discussion to hear their highlighted successes with an ambulatory EHR conversion and a multi-hospital health system build, and to understand the method utilized to accurately identify patients to their unique health record.

Presenters will cover the conversion process specifics to include applications utilized, reporting capabilities, key stakeholders, and workflow management to provide an in-depth explanation of the data conversion of duplicate patient records. Attendees will leave with an understanding of how both hospitals have leveraged technology and end user knowledge to confidently migrate patient health records to one system.
