Making Data Accuracy Fun

The presenter at this session will share the steps involved in working with multiple organizations to identify the best opportunity for improving EMR data. They will share the importance of communicating where and how data is collected, where it is stored, who uses the data, how the data is validated, and how data is reported.

The presenter will also discuss the steps taken once a topic is selected and describe the work sessions conducted to examine the process and analyze root causes. Finally, they will talk about how they reviewed specific outcomes and metrics, and the lessons they learned.

Learner Outcomes

Attendees of this session will learn:

• How multiple organizations selected different topics to analyze the improvement of their EMR data accuracy. The session will go into detail regarding each topic.
• Why the organization selected their topic and the measures that were put into place for improvement.
• The steps taken to establish baseline metrics and final metrics.
