Amanda Krupa, MSc, leads communications efforts to further health literacy and health equity initiatives at AHIMA Foundation. She previously served as a consultant on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention COVID-19 Emergency Response and was the Editor of HealthyChildren.org at the American Academy of Pediatrics for over eight years. Her work as a journalist has appeared in a variety of national media outlets such as Forbes, PBS, Business Insider, Parents magazine, and VeryWell. Amanda holds a Master of Science in Health Communication from Boston University and a post-graduate certificate in medical writing and editing from the University of Chicago. As the mother of a child with autism, she is also an advocate for the health, wellness, and rights of children with special health care needs, their siblings, and their caregivers.
