Can I attend the in-person conference and the virtual conference?
Yes. You may attend both. There are special registration rates available for those attending both events.
Can I attend just the virtual conference?
Yes. You may attend the virtual conference. See registration rates for the virtual conference.
Will the sessions from the virtual conference be available for viewing on an on-demand basis after the virtual conference dates conclude?
Yes, the sessions will be available for on-demand viewing after the virtual conference concludes. They will become available for viewing on or before November 15 and will be available for viewing through December 4, 2022. After December 4, 2022, the content will no longer be available for viewing.
Will I receive CEUs (Continuing Education Units) for sessions attended at the virtual conference and the on-demand sessions?
Yes. You will receive CEUs for each session you attend, both during the virtual conference dates and during the on-demand period.
How many CEUs can I earn at AHIMA22 Global Conference (In-Person)?
By attending this conference, you may earn up to 21 CEUs if you attend breakout sessions, Plenary Sessions, and workshops.
IMPORTANT: Please note that the CEUs will be confirmed once the conference schedule of events is completed
How many CEUs can I earn at AHIMA22 Global Virtual Conference – either during the dates of the conference or during the on-demand period?
By attending the AHIMA22 Global Virtual Conference and/or the on-demand period you may earn up to 20 CEUs.
Is the schedule of events for the AHIMA22 Global Conference and the AHIMA22 Global Virtual Conference the same?
The AHIMA22 Global Conference and the AHIMA22 Global Virtual Conference differ.
How is the programming different at the virtual conference than the in-person conference?
Approximately 40 percent of the breakout sessions and speakers of the in-person conference will be a part of the virtual conference. The plenary sessions at the in-person and virtual conference will be different.
Will there be any health & safety protocols for the in-person conference?
At this time, AHIMA will require each attend to agree to the Duty of Care which will be included in the registration process. AHIMA continues to monitor the pandemic, as well as federal, state and local guidelines and recognize the Duty of Care is subject to change. Any adjustments or changes will be communicated to all participants.
Currently, our Duty of Care consists of the following:
AHIMA is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all AHIMA22 Global Conference participants. Our decisions and preventative measures will be guided by the requirements and recommendations of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and/or state and local authorities. We are working with the Greater Columbus Convention Center on implementing preventative measures to reduce the potential spread of the COVID-19 virus at AHIMA22 Global Conference. Preventative measures include:
Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 PCR or rapid test within 24 hours of arrival.
Enhanced sanitization of meeting spaces.
Mask wearing (over mouth and nose) may be required in all indoor meeting spaces as determined by the CDC COVID-19 Community Level and/or health authorities. Masks will be available onsite if needed.
Social distancing measures of 6 feet will be in place whenever possible.
Hand sanitizing stations throughout the meeting spaces.
Touchless or limited touch options will be offered for all food and beverage service.
The responsibility for a safe and healthy event environment (Duty of Care) is shared among the event organizers, venues and every participant. All AHIMA22 Global Conference participants are expected to adhere to and abide by the safety precautions AHIMA is implementing to protect against the spread of COVID-19.
As part of your Duty of Care responsibilities, you should not attend AHIMA22 if you:
Are experiencing, or within the 5 days prior, have experienced signs and symptoms of COVID-19.
Believe that you may have been recently exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19.
Have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are not yet cleared as non-contagious by the health care team responsible for your treatment.
